Reduce your Fares by 10%
You can reduce
the cost of your bus fares by using a SmartRider card
– SmartRider cards are a new type of bus ticket which
never expires. In order to obtain the 10% discount
you simply have to purchase an amount of travel in
advance - £10 is all you need to purchase your first
SmartRider card. You can then use your SmartRider
card to make whatever journeys you wish. Passengers
can use SmartRider cards to save 10% on the cost of
any single or return fares.
When you board
one of our Sureline buses just place your SmartRider
card on the bulls eye symbol on top of the ticket
machine and state your destination and type of ticket
that you require (single or return). You will then
be issued with a ticket and the amount of money on
your SmartRider card will be deducted by the amount
of your bus fare less 10%. Your ticket will also show
the amount of value remaining on your SmartRider card.
You can recharge your SmartRider card by paying the
driver at anytime you board one of our buses – you
can recharge your SmartRider card by either £5, £10,
£15, £20, or £25.
If you are unfortunate
enough to either lose or have your SmartRider card
stolen please let us know as soon as possible so that
we can hotlist your SmartRider card to prevent any
further use by an unauthorised user. In this situation
we are also prepared to issue you with a refund of
the unused value on your SmartRider card subject to
you being able to produce a bus ticket purchased with
your SmartRider card within 48 hours of you notifying
us that your SmartRider card has been lost or stolen.
There is, however, an administrative charge of £5
should you ever require to be issued with a replacement
SmartRider card.
